In 1957, Milton Goldstein and Elmer Price founded a law firm on a handshake and a commitment to professional representation of their clients. Today, lawyers at Goldstein and Price, L.C. still believe the law is a profession and should be practiced that way. Please see a Short History of Our Firm.

For more than fifty years, from offices overlooking the Mississippi River in St. Louis, we have represented clients creatively and effectively in Missouri, Illinois and across the United States.

Although we began as a maritime specialty firm, we have evolved over the years to accommodate the needs of our diverse client base. For example, many companies initially retained our firm to handle maritime cases, but later asked us to litigate other disputes, too. Agribusiness firms similarly hired us to represent their barge subsidiaries in maritime claims, but then asked if we would defend employment discrimination cases and represent them in transactions, railroad contracts and regulatory matters as well. We branched out into related areas of practice to meet the needs of clients who were happy with our work. Many of the companies and people we represent have been our clients for decades.

"Our feeling is the law is a profession and should be practiced that way."

Rather than try to be all things to all people, our firm provides effective representation and personalized service in five principal areas of practice:

We take pride in being available to clients at all times and in keeping them apprised of significant developments in their matters.
